Game of the Month Announcement
“When war breaks out in the Kingdom of Cherrystone, the young Queen Mercia must flee her home. Pursued by her foes, the only way to save her kingdom is travel to new lands in search of allies. But who will she meet along the way, and what sinister challenges will she face?”
Wargroove is a turn-based strategy game, similar to other titles like Advance Wars or Fire Emblem. The game features a super dope 16-bit art style, local or online multiplayer up to four players, a custom battlefield editor, and a campaign mode, complete with animated pixel art cut-scenes.
The current average review score for Wargroove is sitting at a solid 86, and only getting higher. So why not start February out the right way by picking up a copy of Wargroove and playing through it, with us?
Game of the Month Rules:
Your mission for the month of February is to beat the main campaign in Wargroove. You can finish the whole game in the first week that you have it, or you can break up play sessions across the month. Do whatever suits you best. Keep in mind that we’ll be playing the game in smaller chunks and reporting our experiences on a weekly basis on this very page. You may want to slow down and play other awesome games that just came out, like Resident Evil 2, or Kingdom Hearts III!
Every Saturday, there will be an updated impressions page detailing my experience in the game with mild spoilers. You’re encouraged to chime in with your own thoughts on the game in the comments, because there’s a high chance we’ll include your comments on BitCast the following week.
Speaking of spoilers, when you do comment on this page, we will be actively moderating for spoiler-posts, so please try to be mindful of those that haven’t beaten the game yet! We want to hear your thoughts, but do your best to leave out any potential spoilers.
